In the meantime... take a look at this pic snapped by Superstar iReporter Francois Chouinard. Apparently freezing temperatures caused a water pipe to burst which flooded this street in Montreal. Essentially freezing cars in a giant block of ice!

Combine a water main break, sub-zero Canadian cold, some poor unsuspecting parked cars and what do you get?

James Smith of El Paso, Texas was the smarty who came up with the winning caption for this photo. Taking a cue from spy thrillers like "The Marathon Man" James clearly knows a thing or two about extracting secrets...

"Vee have vays of making you talk."

How would you caption the pic above? This is what your dentist sees when he's performing your root canal. Pretty. Snap on some rubber gloves, call your assistant over and prepare to drill into our latest "Caption This" contest.

iReporter Dinie Belknap was having a root canal performed (fun!). She knew she must have looked ridiculous with the contraption the dentist had attached to her face during the procedure, but the thing about having something on your face is that it's hard to see without a mirror. So being the intrepid citizen journalist that she is, she waited until Dr. Dental Dam had left the room, grabbed her cellphone off her hip and snapped this revealing shot of what appears to be a molar wearing a tent.

For the record Dinie's root canal went just fine.

She says she also has a shot of her wearing the laughing gas mask... which actually explains a lot.

It's time again for you step up with the funny! Hopefully our interview with the creative and comical creators of Jib Jab has given you a little extra "Caption This" inspiration because we think this one is going to be a little tougher than usual. It's certainly going to bring out some less literal and more esoteric entries!

Contrats to Kathleen Fear of Cooper City, Florida who submitted the winning caption! Location was Kathleen's biggest inspiration for that caption... she says, "I'm thrilled to be chosen as the photo caption winner. I live in Florida, and we're in Hurricane season 6 months of the year. The ridiculousness of the photo reminded me of some of the lame plans people have to 'ride out a storm,' and the equally absurd responses to a disaster that we have all seen FEMA come up with in the past."

We're a little behind on our t-shirt distribution plans (it's harder than we thought to come up with a design we all like)... but we'll have some good swag on it's way to all our winners soon! Promise!

Our newest "Caption this" pic was sent in by Tamie Pryor of Oswego, Illinois. That's Tamie and her son William in the pic above with the actual can of SpaghettiOs® A to Z's that contained that creepy combination of pasta letters.

They were out of the boring old round noodles at the store, so she bought a can of the alphabet shapes. William doesn't know what the word said by the way... Mom just told him that the noodles spelled "something."

Her friends asked if she staged the picture by spelling out "DIE" on her own, but Tamie says, "Why would I choose THAT word?" Indeed in her iReport submission Tamie asks, "Why couldn't it have [spelled out] something like "love" or "you just won $1 million?"

It could be worth some fun swag for you if you can think of a good caption for Tamie's "noodles of doom."

The Olympic debut of "Big Bubble Racing."

We'll be announcing the winner of our last 'caption this' contest on "News To Me" next weekend (July 12 & 13). That's also when we'll put our NEW 'caption this' photo on the air for the first time. But YOU... you lucky blog reader... YOU get to take a crack at it before the rest of the world even gets a chance to see it!

iReporter Gregory Boone took this picture one Saturday afternoon in Dalian, China. He explained the scene in an e-mail to iReport.com producer Nicole Saidi. Here's an excerpt from that email

"There are several bubbles available and people pay for the privilege of using them. Around 10 RMB (Chinese currency) per hour. The bubbles are held from drifting too far by ropes attached to the shoreline. The bubble is a common recreation on the beach located in Kaifaqu (means Development Zone) Dalian, China. The man standing inside the bubble is waiting to be zipped out. The zippers are water tight. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how they are ventilated. (If they are at all.) When I first saw it, I thought it must be pretty hot inside. But a unique way to get a good tan."

First things first... congratulations to Jessica who came up with the winning caption for our last "Caption This" contest. A "News To Me" t-shirt will be on its way to her soon!

Now, there was a lot of discussion 'round the vast "News To Me" headquarters last week as to whether our new "Caption This" picture (above) is a Photoshop fake... it ain't. It was taken by iReporter Mon Enriquez earlier this month in the Zurich Central Train station. These bigger than life footballers were built to promote the UEFA EURO 2008™ Football (soccer) Tournament which is taking place through June 29th in Austria and Switzerland.

So how would you caption this photo? Here's a really lame one to get you started:
"Sheesh... I knew Soccer was big in Europe, but I had no idea HOW BIG!"

Just the heads of the footballers displayed in great detail are three meters [over 9 feet] high. The self-supporting work of art weighs over seven tons and doesn't require any suspension from the ceiling. Paintbrushing experts crafted every body part with meticulous attention to detail. Over 50 people worked on the huddle figures day in and day out for more than a year."

Where did we find this picture?

CNN iReporter Christy Quincy of Hamilton, Ohio was driving home from work when she spotted this unusual sight. She snapped the pic and uploaded it to iReport.com. The contrast of the horse amongst the cars (in the TIRE area no less) was especially jarring to Christy because, as she told us, it's "not like, there's a farm around the corner."

Where did we find this photo?

This pic was taken by Chuck Loucka who uploaded it to iReport.com. Chuck told us that the vehicle was left in a parking lot behind a car dealership & due to the incredible amount of snow they got in northern Maine this past winter, it became buried in a snow bank. At some point a front-end loader was pushing the snow bank back & accidentally lifted up the vehicle along with the snow... and there it stayed.

Chuck went on to tell us that, "People who first saw the picture assumed it was something I 'doctored up' on photo shop, but it is a real picture straight off my camera."
