It's a holiday weekend here in the States. Thursday was "Thanksgiving." It's a holiday where many families gather for a feast at home to give thanks for good fortune. The next day some celebrate the traditional start of the winter shopping season: "Black Friday." A holiday where many gather at the mall to spend all those fortunes.

One person you won't see at the mall is "News To Me" host Eric Lanford... because he's busy hosting our holiday special tonight! Oh and for my ultimate Thanksgiving leftover sandwich:

It's pretty simple really. The key is an ingredient I think most people leave off their leftovers sandwich... stuffing (or dressing as some call it). After thanksgiving dinner the leftover stuffing can be packed into a loaf sized baking dish or even a square Tupperware type container. Once it's been chilled overnight in the 'fridge it can be sliced like bread and makes an excellent addition to a day-after turkey sammich! My mom typically makes a sage/white bread/celery kinda stuffing that is perfect for this!

So, an OBSCENE amount of REAL mayo (actual mayonnaise, not a mayo substitute), turkey, cranberry sauce (the jellied kind out of a can is easy to slice and put on a sandwich) AND a slice of stuffing all on some crusty sourdough! That's my day after sandwich! Bon appetit!
