I am a South Korean now living in the U.S. What you witnessed in the South Korean baseball game is called a 'chicken fight' (PC version) – a common, and hilarious, means of setling a physical dispute in South Korea. The purpose is to knock the others off their feet (or in this case, foot) – last one standing is the toughest guy in the fight. It does contain certain elements of martial arts but only to the extent of knocking your opponents off their feet. It is not intended to do any serious physical harm. Weird, but true!
