Daryl Hall and Tom Green

Daryl Hall is a singer and songwriter probably best known for being half of the iconic music duo "Hall and Oates" and Tom Green is an envelope pushing comedian, actor and testicular cancer survivor. What do these two have in common? They're both hosting web-shows from their private homes and they'll both be talking to our host Eric Lanford on "News To Me" in the coming weeks.

Daryl Hall is up first this coming weekend (9/13 & 9/14). Granted, Eric is no Oates, but he manages to hold his own with Daryl while they talk about music, artistic freedom and the power of the internet to inspire and entertain. Daryl has opened up his historic home in upstate New York to other musicians and more importantly to YOU via his new webshow "Live from Daryl's House." Once a month he and other amazing musicians jam... and you get to sit in on the session. It's a fun interview, whether you remember "Rich Girl" or "Maneater" or not! That's coming up in one week!

Then in the next few weeks, we visit Tom Green in his actual California living room where he hosts a show of his own. "Tom Green's House Tonight." It's the ultimate in DIY TV. Tom hosts the show, switches the cameras, invites the guests (everyone from Perez Hilton to Tony Hawk to Kathy Griffin to Val Kilmer) and takes your questions via webcam. Like Daryl he's decided that doing it all yourself means not having to ask for anyone else's permission.
