Eric multitasking

Producer Grayson asked me an interesting question… first he asked, "why don’t you blog more often?" I couldn't find a way to answer this other than I am real lazy when it comes to assignments. Then he asked me, "what do you think about when you run?"

Now, for those who cant tell from my girlish figure, I run all the time (at least I did, until my heart starting having this freak out thing). I really enjoy running. Why? Because I do my best work while sweating to REM blasting on my iPod. I think about the show, how to improve it, how to make it more entertaining for you. Most of all, I think about how can I get my face in more places… on sides of buses, in Times Square… or maybe I should lower my expectations and just get someone to recognize me in the street (but if you know me, you know I could care less about that). Here are some thoughts that I actually wrote down while running:

I hope my heart keeps beating…
How much I really enjoy the outdoors.
How this global warming thing is a crock.
How to tell REM (my friends) that they need to go back and listen to Murmur.
How I lost thought #8 by seeing a beautiful female runner pass me by…
How can I get more people to watch?
What is the meaning of life?
Will the UGA Bulldogs go #1 in pre-season polls?
Who will win the British Open? (I know it will not be Tiger)
"News To Me" airing in the next hour, the 9:30 PM ET one…
    Sweat
    And finally, Isn't life great?

just want to make a comment I AM SOOOO SICK OF HEARING THE PHRASE "AT THE END OF THE DAY" it seems like everybody on any of the news shows are saying it over and over and over. What does that make them sound like they are smart? Or is everyday different lol? Or are things different at the beginng of the day? That phrase goes right though me now as you can tell!

Dorothy,

Did WE say "at the end of the day," on "News To Me?" I'm wracking my brain trying to think of when we might have.

Maybe we just happened to be the blog you were reading when you heard someone else on TV say it.

Let me say that I'm sorry it was irritating to you if we did say it. If we weren't the offending party, let me say thanks for reading our blog and I'm glad we could be there for you to vent about it. Because, really, at the end of the day, that's what this blog is here for. :)

-Thanks for watching and reading,
-Grayson

I was almost ready to admit there was still one good thing left on CNN, but then you blew it with that brain-dead crack about global warming. Do you perhaps have a relevant science degree and/or research experience? If not, what level of mathematics did your, um, degree require? Or maybe you're just a closet climatologist whose hobby is climate modeling? If it's none of the above, and you'd like your grandchildren to actually care about you when you're old and unable to feed yourself, then maybe you'd like to consider becoming part of the solution instead of perpetuating the problem. Or you could continue to be like most of your colleagues on CNN (especially the "political analysts") and just blabber away with about the same level of communication as a bunch of barking seals...
