Eric met his fan!

Eric would like you to believe that if Kathy Griffin is living life on the "D" list, then he's on a list somewhere down in the "LMNOP" area. But that's simply not true. Just ask the guy with Eric in the picture above. You'd think that between the 4 of us there AND Eric's microphone we would have written down or recorded his name... but... not so much. Anyway, while we were standing on a busy corner shooting this coming weekend's show, that guy came walking past us and said, "Hey I know you! Eric! You're on ‘News To Me!’" Pretty cool highlight in an otherwise HOT, muggy, crowded, traffic-filled day.

Tripods? Who need's tripods!? I hate to give away all our secrets, but in the pic above you see how we get that energetic "handheld" look that is so unique to "News To Me." It's achieved by using a special technique in which the camera is actually hand held by Teague, our camera operator (and editor, and producer). And all this time you thought it was digital effects...

Who knows if this will actually make it into the show... but not only is Charles a good writer/producer, he's a pretty good beatboxer too. In the shot above Charles is doing his best Blake Lewis impression while Eric gets his line on tape.

Makeup and sun screen don't mix... so in lieu of any SPF's or even a cap Eric invented this nifty new use for a bandana. I have a feeling the "pile of fabric headcover" look is going to be big at Fashion Week this year!

This weekend's show is just starting to take shape... but I can tell you that there's a chance you'll get a look at what 1.4 billion dollars looks like when it goes up in flames! Dang that was a good tease!
