Hello, all you "News To Me" blog fans… btw, is there another name for this blog thing? It sounds so… blah! So I am going old skool and renaming it, “My Mindless Thoughts?" (like you care?) Anyway...

I do appreciate all the "News To Me" viewers out there. Funny how this whole thing started in a small conference room in New York City, and now we are here a year later still chuggin along with this whole UGC thing on a NATIONAL level. It's a dream come true for a guy who was told by a well known talent agent in ATL, “you will NEVER be on TV." Hmmm…

You know I was reminiscing with the two "News To Me" executive producers last night over some beers about the very first interview we ever did. The one with that Blend-Tec guy, the man who blends everything, Tom Dickson. Compare that to where we are now, meeting and telling stories from all over the world, my how we have grown. Pretty incredible.

And now I'm going LIVE! Doing "NTM" teases on Headline News! Certainly not the highlight of my demo reel. I still get a bit nervous.

Here is the deal, they give you 3 seconds to say hello to the very nice anchors (seriously, very nice)… and then you have 10 seconds to tell a 10 minute story, and anyone who has met me, knows I am long winded as hell. I keep hearing "WRAP! WRAP!" from the director in my ear… (I ignore it). Anyway, please watch today, and critique me… I can take it. As Aaron, one of our producers, said to me last week, “it wasn’t very good.” Hey! He’s honest!

One question I do get quite often from the ladies is about my wardrobe, and if I have more than just black, gray, or generally dark clothing…the answer is yes, but for some reason bald and madras don’t go very well together on air…and it makes my nose look bigger than it is. Reminds me when I used to anchor for the CNN College Television Network, (not MTVU), one of the big wigs wanted to get rid of me, not because I did a bad job, he just didn’t like my eyebrows… the way my eyebrows looked on air… please look at them, and give me your thoughts. Should I do the Mike Stipe thing, and just shave em? And I thought it was hard to get dates now…
