A celebration amongst the chaos

Even though "News To Me" is a departure from the typical news cycle, we produce the show in an environment where all the really big stories are breaking. All the monitors on our desks at CNN Center are filled lately with images from Cyclone devistated Myanmar, the midwest and southern U.S. states (including our neighbors here in Georgia) who are trying to recover from a series of tornadoes, and now the massive earthquake and aftershocks still rocking Sichuan Province in China.

As we ramp up to our "News To Me" One Year Anniversary show this weekend, all those events and things like the Minnesota Bridge Collapse and the Virginia Tech massacre remind us how important citizen journalism has become.
